We are delighted to announce the launch of our New Shockwave Therapy Service, brand new to Momentum Healthcare since 20th January 2025.
Is an evidence based treatment that involves passing low energy pressure waves into damaged tissues to increase blood flow and stimulate the repair process whilst reducing pain and allowing your body to restart its own natural healing process.
Shockwave therapy is beneficial for patients with painful soft tissue (muscle, tendons and ligaments), joint and bone conditions.
The therapy can help those with sports or overuse injuries and can benefit those undergoing physiotherapy for a range of complaints.
After only 2-3 sessions, many patients report complete pain relief or a significant reduction in pain. The therapy eliminates pain or restores mobility, thus improving overall quality of life. In chronic conditions alone, an overall success rate ranges from 60-80% when other therapeutic treatments have been unsuccessful.

| Shockwave Packages | |
| The standard recommendation for shockwave therapy is a minimum of 3 session but may go up to as many as 6 depending on the complaint and how long you have had this for. This will all be discussed on an initial assessment or consultation with your therapist. These packages are for 30-minute sessions including injury management advice and exercise therapy prescription. | |
